The deck houses the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Engineering lounge. Here, the engineering crew can relax and have a drink, without needing to take the elevator to higher decks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ion Drive. This system allows the ship to move at sub-light speed. It consists of the following sub-systems:<br> &#8211; Fuel pumps.<br> &#8211; Ionisation Driver Core. This is the main engine component of the Ion Drive.<br> &#8211; Ionisation beam stabilisors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engineering offices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flow Regulator. This system is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/omegacyberspace.com\/?page_id=19\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"19\">hyperdrive<\/a> and siphons excess energy from the Singularity Core to ensure a stable operation, particularly at high FTL speeds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coolant Systems. This system is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/omegacyberspace.com\/?page_id=19\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"19\">hyperdrive<\/a> and provides physical cooling of its systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engineering systems control. From this control center, all engineering systems can be monitored and controlled. In the event that the ship&#8217;s bridge becomes inoperable, all command functions can also be routed to and controlled from here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Injector (linac). This system is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/omegacyberspace.com\/?page_id=19\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"19\">hyperdrive<\/a>. A linear accelerator (linac) is used to accelerate kaons and pions as `fuel&#8217; for the Singularity Core.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Core Stabiliser. This system is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/omegacyberspace.com\/?page_id=19\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"19\">hyperdrive<\/a> and stabilises the tachyon particle beam for transit to the engine nacelles. A Galaxy-class starship has three nacelles, so there are also three stabilisers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Singularity Core. This system is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/omegacyberspace.com\/?page_id=19\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"19\">hyperdrive<\/a>.
