Particle Railgun

To satisfy the need for long distance weapons, the Military Division developed a railgun that accelerates charged particles to near-light speeds. Building on the PPB-42, the Particle Railgun ‘PRG-642′ (or Railgun, for short) shoots a devastating, high-intensity burst of particles at high energy at the target, dealing massive, but localised, damage. The Railgun is most suited for long-distance precision shooting such as sniping. The gun’s wielder can increase the weapon’s power output at the expense of a larger charge-up time. As with all OCC weapons, the PRG-642 comes equiped with advanced targeting optics that allow the user to obtain and maintain a lock on the desired target.
