Deck 1 – Command Deck
The Command Deck forms the base of operations for any OCC starship. This deck is located on deck 1 and houses the following areas:
- The Bridge. This is the main command centre of the ship, from which day-to-day and battle operations are coordinated and controlled.
- The Combat Information Centre (CIC). This is a support area for the Bridge, and can be used to coordinate joint strike operations like fleet actions, to provide advanced tactical support for the tactical officer, or to plan a boarding party.
- The Captain’s Readyroom. The readyroom is the office of the commanding officer of the ship.
- The Conference Room. This room is ideal for meetings of the staff or to discuss diplomatic issues with external parties.
The Command Deck features an emergency lockdown procedure to secure the command centre in the event that the ship is being boarded. Activating the emergency lockdown results in the following:
- Lower a blast door to physically prevent access to the CIC and the bridge. This door can only be opened again from the bridge.
- Activate advanced encryption on all command functions, so only personnel with security clearance level 8 or higher can access them.
- Automatically call additional security forces and sentry bots to the Command Deck.
