Deck 7 – Primary Systems Deck
The Primary Systems Deck contains all of the ships primary systems. This deck houses the following areas:
- Primary CPU Core. This is the latest optronic quantum dot supercomputer and forms the `brain’ of the ship. It regulates all key systems. Most systems do have a decentralised backup control system in case of emergencies.
- Generator Room. The MDCs that power the ship are located here, as well as the supporting systems that control the distribution of the generated power to the ship’s systems.
- Life Support Systems. The Life Support systems are a number of areas that contain the machinery that help make and keep the ship habitable. These include:
– Air Purification.
– The Carbon Extractor. This ingenious system extracts carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and breaks it down into oxygen and carbon. This carbon can then be used in the replication of materials.
– Water Basins. In this area, the water onboard the ship is purified and recycled, and the ship’s primary water supply is stored here.
– Recycling Sector. - Teleporter Room 1. The teleporter is actually located on deck 8, but there is a stairway on deck 7 to directly access the teleporter room.
- Communications center. Also located on deck 8, the communications center manages all incoming and outgoing communications, featuring stations to secure and store communications. The communications center is tied directly to the communications array, allowing the ship to maintain communications even if the communication lines to the bridge have been severed.
- Field preparation room. A locker room and briefing room where scouting party members can prepare for field missions. The lockers contain combat armor, personal weapons, and field medkits.
